Excel import definitions

When importing data from Excel the format of the Excel data is defined in an import definition.

On the Excel Import Definitions Card settings for the import can be defined.

General

Field name	Description
Code	Specifies the code of the import definition.
Description	Specifies the description of the import definition.
Header Sheet Name	Specifies the Excel sheet name that containes data for the Cost Allocation Header.
Additional Costs Sheet Name	Specifies the Excel sheet name that containes summarized additional cost that should be allocated to released consignments based on an allocation method.
Lines Sheet Name	Specifies the Excel sheet name that containes data for lines that shall be matched against released consignments.
First Data Row	Specifies the line number for the first line on the sheet with lines that shall imported.
External Document No. Cell ref.	Specifies the reference for the cell containing the external document number.
External Data Cell ref.	Specifies the reference for the cell containing the external date (typically the invoice date).
Currency Code Cell ref.	Specifies the reference for the cell containing the currency code.

Lines

The lines are added automatically based on the fields in the allocation line table.

Field name	Description
Field No.	Specifies the field number in the allocation line table.
Field Caption	Specifies the field name in the allocation line table.
Source Column	Specifies the column in the Excel sheet where data shall be read from.

Additional Costs

Additional costs are summarized cost provided by the external source/carrier that shall be allocated/distributed to released consignments.

Field name	Description
Description	Specifies the description of the additional cost definition.
Cost Type Code	Specifies the Cost Type Code that the additional cost shall use.
Description Cell Ref.	Specifies the cell reference for the desription of the imported cost.
Amount Cell Ref.	Specifies the cell reference for the amount of the imported cost.
Allocation Method	Specifies the application method to use when diestributin the cost to individual released consignment when the imported allocation is approved.
