Instructions and texts
When you create a consignment, you can add instructions and free texts. You can use the functionality in Business Central for standard texts and define rules that automatically creates intsructions or free text based on standard texts and associated extendend texts. You can also define free texts and instructions on customers, vendors etc.
Free texts and instructions are sent to Logtrade and depending on the carrier and carrier product, instructions may be printed on labels and documents.

Workflow
Standard texts
- Create a standard text code.
- Create extra text lines for the standard text code.
- Create a standard text rule with type = Carrier Instruction and the standard text code you have created.
- Create a consignment and select a shipping agent service code.
- Click on Related->Instructions->Carrier Instructions on the consignment and verify that instructions has been created.
Free texts and instructions on a customer
- Open a customer card.
- Click on Related->Delivery->Instructions.
- Select Carrier Instruction in the Instruction Type field.
- Enter a couple of instruction lines.
- Create a consignment for the customer.
- Verify that the instructions has been copied to the consignment.
