Truncation Rules

The maximum string length in Logtrade for name, address etc is 35 characters. This is due to limitations in the EDI protocols. Since Business Central supports longer text strings, truncation needs to take place. Whenever a text string needs to be truncated, a truncation rules is created automatically if a matching rule doesn't exists since before. In the delivery setup you can control if the users shall be notified about the truncation (and have the possibility to edit the truncated value), or if truncation shall be automatic.

Field name	Description
Original Value	The original text string.
Truncated Value	The truncated text string.
Last Modified	The date and time the truncation rule was created/edited.
